Although the Covid-19 epidemic is having its impact globally we would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank Janne and Rune A. Øygard for their role in Liberia which now has come to an end.
Janne and Rune arrived in Liberia during the Ebola crisis in 2014/2015 as the first representatives for Mission Alliance with the mission to establish the organization in Liberia, to grow the development interventions and expand to Sierra Leone.
As Chairman of the board for Diaconia MDI, Rune has been vital in establishing, building and maintaining the operations of the bank and has done so excellently in addition to serving as the Country Director for Mission Alliance.
As their roles in Liberia now have come to an end after more than 5 years, we are delighted to announce that Rune will continue in Mission Alliance going forward. He will be responsible for building up a new unit named “Business for Development”. Through this role he will continue to fight for alleviating poverty, promoting justice and sharing faith.
On behalf of the AMAS group and DMDI staff we want to thank you both for your enthusiasm, optimism and committed service throughout this period. We also wish you the very best in your future endeavors!
